How do I get CBSEyeMobile on my phone?
It is easy to go mobile. Click here to get instructions to get to CBSEyeMobile by text messaging or by URL.
Can I get all of the CBSEyeMobile content on my phone?
All content that is on the CBSEyeMobile web site is available on a phone. However, your phone must be able to support the content type. Your phone must be able to support JPG for images and 3GP for videos. In addition, you may have restrictions on file size from either your carrier or your phone and may not be able to download files of certain sizes. This will depend on your phone or wireless carrier.
Am I charged for viewing or downloading content on my phone?
No, there is no fee from CBSEyeMobile to view and download content. Access to the site is free. Note that you may have data fees that your wireless carrier charges. This will depend on your carrier and wireless data plan.

What are the Text Messaging Commands?
On supported carriers (see below), text one of these commands to 85888 on your phone. E.g. GO to 85888.

Adding Content

How do I upload photos, video or audio from my phone?
Phones that support multimedia messaging (MMS) or can email attachments can be used to upload media to CBSEyeMobile. Click here to get instructions to upload photos and videos to CBSEyeMobile using MMS or email.
How do I add or edit titles, descriptions, set privacy preferences and more?
First, find your channel, by clicking the mychannel icon at the bottom of any page. You can only edit data from content that you own in your channel. Next, find any content in your channel that you wish to edit. Select the edit icon next to the title of the media. Follow the instructions to edit of the data you wish to modify for the media and then choose save.

Browsing Content

How do I find other user's content?
One way to find content is to use the Explore feature. Another way to find a specific journalist is to use the Search for Journalist feature on the main Explore page. You can also try the Advanced Search options from the Explore page which allows you to find content by categories, location, or searching for keywords in the title or description.

Then add the user to your network by selecting the add icon to make it easy to locate the user next time.
How do I find content from My Channel?
There is a mychannel icon at the bottom of every page which allows you to return to your channel.
What do these icons mean?
  • edit: This icon appears on your items that you can edit on your phone. You will not see this icon on pages where you are not the owner.
  • add: This icon appears on the home page of another user's main channel. This allows you to add the user to your network to get back to their page easily. Users in your network appear on the main page of your My Channel.
  • upload: This icon appears on your My Channel page. Use this icon to post a new text or for instructions to upload media to your phone.
  • back: This icon allows you to go backwards in a user's content folder to see the previous item.
  • forward: This icon allows you to go forward in a user's content folder to see the next item.
How do I add a comment?
All pages with media support comments. However, you must be logged into CBSEyeMobile to post a comment. Type in your text and select the Post button.
