bestband1: Congrats to all . I am a little confused by the rules for the final selection . For instance 3 minutes in total running stating four times that any video over 3 will not even be looked at , There should be no others in the video but the band, 1 video per family not 2, Song must be written and performed by someone entered in competition, not a relative. Those rules alone count against four of the acts selected. A LOT OF FAMILIES DID GO BY THE RULES

edflyer: Whoever said lipsync obviously didn't watch the video because they do show actual playing of the various instruments. Also, mom and dad do play, but the kids are the stars.
I've seen them live (sound tech'd for them) and they don't lipsync, they are actually that good.

hopemonger: I have heard the Boyds live and they are awesome!!!! They definately play all of their own music and are amazing musicians. They don't need to lip sync because they are all trained musicians. It is all them because this is what they sound like live.

putt4par: illuminews, the parents DO their own thing AND are successful. the kids DO THEIR OWN THING TOO. with a little research, you could've found this out. I personally think it's GREAT that they're all doing this together FOR FUN, AND that the parents are "in the back ground" of the family effort, letting the boys be up front and in the spotlight.
